Begun in 2003 as a Bergen Academy exhibition project, Bare Møbler (‘Only Furniture’) is a colla-boration between furniture designers Ørjan Djønne and Marius Sveen. From their bases in Bergen and Oslo, they create products that perfectly exemplify the modern Norwegian design values of simplicity, understatement, humour and the prominence of nature.
Working with a variety of national and international clients, Bare Møbler produces furniture that combines a genuine passion for quality craftsmanship with a process optimized for industrial production.
Bringing a suggestion of the undulating landscape of the open countryside into the office environment, Mountain serves as both a room divider and an acoustic absorber/diffuser, thus fulfilling the twin functions of noise reduction and room partition. Its perforated plywood panels house sound-absorbing mineral wool, and the triangular shape aids diffusion. Available in three combinable sizes to allow for multiple permutations, Mountain can also be customised using different fabrics and colour combinations, as the interior designer desires.
