Bergen Academy of Art and Design alumni Petter Knudsen, Anders Berg and Steinar Hindenes occupy a waterfront design studio beside the Lungegård lakes in Bergen. They work primarily with furniture, product and interior designers to craft pieces driven by materials and production processes, and are passionate about creating objects with distinct, recognisable character. One such is their Plank sofa – which made its UK debut at 100% Norway 2012 and was subsequently nominated as Product of the Year for the Bo Bedre Design Awards in 2013.
Originally designed to match and contrast with KnudsenBergHindenes and Fora Form’s UP sofa system, the Cup table employs a simple, striking aesthetic. Available in light and dark grey, the table-top is a steel plate surrounded by an integral foam that gives it a soft, smooth surface. The table comes in two heights (40 and 44cm), and the legs can be either oak or black-stained beech.

The SayO chair is the inaugural product in Danish manufacturer SayO’s new furniture range. Simple, organic, and unmistakably Scandinavian, the chair is made using 3D-veneer production techniques that allow for greater strength, a thinner seat base and double-curved shapes to improve comfort levels. Available with different bases, woods and colours, it’s a versatile piece with a playfully fluid visual appeal.
